Weekending

Happy Monday ya'll! Tonight is open house for the girls, and they start school on Wednesday. Where has the summer went? As we get closer to the first day of school I get more emotional thinking about my youngest starting school. Here is a little throwback of Ryleigh's first day of school through the years.

Ok I'm going to stop pouting and share my weekend with you guys! The girls were gone to their dad's so it was just Walt and me. We took a walk after work in the field row and our friend Jenna just happened to be out taking some drone footage. If you look close enough you will see us walking.


Friday night we met our friends and their little girl for supper at a local Mexican restaurant. Afterwards we went over to their house and Ben pulled out some high school football vhs of Walter. We definitely got a good laugh watching them.

Saturday morning we got up bright and early headed to Macon, MS to pick up some farm equipment.

On the way home we stopped in Meridian to eat lunch at Dickey's BBQ and look around Tj Maxx.
Dickey's has the best fried okra I've ever ate, sorry maw maw! I mean I got so much food I couldn't eat it all.

Sunday morning we fixed chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Just a little info about me, I have to eat peanut butter on my pancakes/waffles!!
 
After breakfast we went to church, ate lunch, and did our grocery shopping for the week.
 
 The rest of the day was spent cleaning my house while Walt cleaned out the grain bins for the upcoming corn harvest. Sunday afternoon we threw some chicken, sausage, and mushrooms on the grill for supper.

I'm not going to lie I don't shop at Nordstorm as much as I should or could ha! I did get a Nordstrom card last year so I could shop the early access sale, and I shopped again this year. Girl Chat: Guilty Pleasures

I used to only shop in stores so I could try the clothes on before I bought them. I just recently decided to start ordering online, and I feel like I've been missing out on life ha! I ordered this "express yourself" dress from The Mint Julep boutique for my upcoming beach trip, and I received $10 off my order just for signing up for e-mails :) I've been eyeing these wedges on varies boutique pages and I lucked up and found this pair at Target. I was able to get these and a pair of sandals for BK(below) and a free $10 gift card!   2. Sweets Let's face it, I am a sucker for anything sweet! Weekending

I enjoyed a really low key weekend with my girls, which is just what I need before they go to their dad's for two weeks :( Friday night we enjoyed chips, cheese dip, and pizza at my mom's house. Bk wanted to spend the night with her, so it was just Ryleigh and me. Ryleigh painted my nails, then we played a few games, and called it an early night. Saturday morning I went grocery shopping. That afternoon we went to Ryleigh's rodeo. my girl with her winnings from the day!   Sunday we went to church, then ate lunch at my mom's.  quick church picture! Sunday afternoon I took the girls to the creek since they will miss Memorial day at the creek, which is a big weekend! We managed to get to the creek and swim for a few minutes before a ton of bad weather blew through! Talk about a cold and wet ride home.   I am hoping for a good week and I hope everyone else has one too! linking up with Biana
