Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks

I'm not going to lie I don't shop at Nordstorm as much as I should or could ha! I did get a Nordstrom card last year so I could shop the early access sale, and I shopped again this year. Here are a few of my picks. First up.. Zella leggings I love my zella leggings and I wanted a maternity pair to wear during my pregnancy, so I was able to catch this pair on sale!   sweater I don't wear a lot of turtle necks, because I'm funny about things around my neck. However, I've seen several bloggers talking about this sweater and how soft and light it is. We will see how I like it when it arrives.   sneakers I need a new pair of tennis shoes and I thought these were cute. I hope they fit!   ruffle dress I found this cute dress for Brynlee for fall. I love the ruffle sleeves.   jeans I bought these jeans for Ryleigh and I hope she likes this as much as I do. The bottoms are so cute!   wedge sneakers I couldn't pass up the

One Year Anniversary Get Away-New Orleans

Image
Happy Wednesday! I am sharing our overnight trip to New Orleans for our 1 year anniversary. Heads up that almost all of my pictures are of the food we ate haha!   Saturday morning we were up early and headed out towards New Orleans. We stopped in Hammond for lunch. We ate at a new to us restaurant called Our Mom's Restaurant . We ordered an appetizer of fried green beans. They were good but kind of spicy. We split the surf n turf burger and it was super yummy!   We walked down the street to Sweet Rolls for dessert. I have been dying to try the rolled ice cream and it didn't disappoint! We split the cookie monster.   We walked around downtown Hammond for a little while, checking out some of the shops. Hammond is such a cute town, I just love it!   Our next stop was Slidell for the Honey Island Swamp Tour. I took the tour a few years ago, but this was Walt's first time and he loved it! I enjoyed it as well, but it was SO hot on that boa

Weekending

Happy Monday I am linking up with Lindsay to share my weekend!   Friday afternoon Carlie and I picked my girls up from their dad then ate supper at Cracker Barrel. Saturday we were up early headed to see Henley play tournament ball.   After his first game we went to eat at Chick Fila then we had to pick up a few things to get ready for our gender reveal.   Saturday afternoon we had friends and family over to find out the gender of our 3rd baby!   We had my cousin Carlie find out the gender and she poured the colored powder inside of our combine. When Walt's dad turned the combine on, the color show out the back.   I'm going to let you guess what the color was by my reaction.... If you guessed blue then you were RIGHT!! Oh my goodness we are over the moon excited to add a sweet little boy to our family. Rhett Granger West...   I knew if I ever had the chance to have a boy, I would name it after my grandparents on my mom's si

Linking up with Lindsay to share my weekend! Friday night Walt and I dropped the girls off for the week with their dad. I may or may not have cried a few tears. After I pulled myself together we grabbed supper, I had a delicious grilled chicken salad. We spent the rest of the night finishing season one of True Blood.   Saturday morning I was up bright and early to decorate for my best friend's bridal shower that I was helping host. We hosted a bridal brunch with lots of yummy food and mimosas (which I didn't get to enjoy). Everything turned out beautiful and she received lots of great gifts!   Saturday afternoon my mom and I went to the nail salon to get a pedicure and spend a little time together. We picked Walt up on the way home and went out to a fish house for supper.   Sunday morning we went to church, then came home and make a fresh tomato and bacon sandwich, with the yummiest tomatoes grown by my awesome father-n-law! After lunch my father-n-law

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday and here is to a three day weekend whoop whoop! I am linking up with Erika  to bring you my Friday Favorites.   Spending some much needed time with my husband this past weekend! Now that planting season is here, he isn't home as much, so any extra time we get together is cherished. Sunday night we grilled s'mores after supper! We love doing this when the weather is warm.     Wednesday would have been the girls "official" last day of school, but Monday after Ryleigh's first test she started feeling terrible. My mom took her to the doctor and she was diagnosed with strep and flu type A!! I honestly cannot believe those things are still floating around this time of year, but they are! After speaking with the school they informed me that Ryleigh did not have to come make up the rest of her tests because she was sick, so summer break started early for us.   While Ryleigh was at the doctor, Brynlee played with her cousins! Look how
