Linking up with Mel, Shay, and Sheaffer for June's edition of What's up Wed! What we're eating this week Well the girls are gone to their dad's house for two weeks for his summer visitation, so its just me at the house. I decided I would take these two weeks to try to eat better and exercise a little more so I can make it a habit. I have been eating lots of veggies from my grandfather's garden and whole grain sandwiches. Monday- hamburger patty w/fries Tuesday- spaghetti w/squash, green beans, and French bread Wednesday- I am cooking grilled chicken, green beans, and zucchini Thursday-not sure yet Friday-not sure yet Saturday-most likely bbq   What I'm reminiscing about Cooler weather lol. It's so hard to be positive about the weather in Mississippi. I complain when it's too cold, I complain when it's burning up. There is no happy medium.   What I'm loving Life.   What we've been up to Not too much

Happy Monday! This is a bitter sweet week for me. I'm working my last week at my current job before I change to my new one. I am going to miss my co-worker terribly, because they have became my second family. I mean we spend more time together than I actually spend with my family. Plus, they have been there for me through the best and worst times in my life. I will forever be thankful for my Farm Bureau family. However, I am excited to start my new job, which will be with the same company. I am taking a different position, so I do have to learn a few new things. On a sad note, I had to drop the girls off with their dad for two weeks this morning. Insert super sad face. I am going to miss them sooo much. My weekend was pretty low key. Friday I took my oldest, along with my nephews to see Finding Dory. Such a cute movie, I would recommend this movie. Saturday consisted of helping my grandfather, uncles, brother, and cousins lay about a mile of water line. After finishing that I to

It's Monday.. I woke up this morning, I'm healthy, my girls are healthy, I am blessed. I hope everyone had a good weekend. I enjoyed spending the weekend with my girls, sil, nephews, friend, and mom. Friday Nothing exciting happened, which is ok with me. Went to eat at Los Parrilleros in town. My nephews came home with me after vbs and decided they wanted to spend the night at my house. Well to make a long story short, I ended up packing them and the girls up and going to their house at about 11:00, moving the sleep over to my sil's house. Saturday I woke up bright and early, went home, cooked French toast and bacon. Made a huge cup of coffee, loaded the girls up, and headed south to New Orleans (NOLA). We spent the day at the Audubon Zoon in New Orleans. If you ever have a chance to take your kids, do it. It's such a nice zoo, the staff are very friendly, and it's very clean. Aside from all of the animals, they have a splash pad, lazy river, and obstacle c

linking up with Shay & Erika Today we are talking NETFLIX! Seriously thank you to whoever thought of this! That is all we watch at night, and my girls love it! I'm going to share my 3 favorite series on Netflix. My favorite show ever! I laughed til' I cried, and almost cried literally when I got to the last episode. I'm hoping they come out with another season. This is a good sci-fi series. I haven't started on the second season yet. I literally just started this series last night so I'm not sure what to expect but it looks like its going to be good. How I feel when a series ends lol!

Weekending~ A time for prayer

Friday a terrible tragedy took place in my little hometown. Around 11:00 two men working at a gravel pit were in the path of a landslide that completely buried them. One man was in a bull dozer and one was in a dump truck. The men were covered in 10-12 feet of quick sand like mud from a dam that broke. As of today, Monday, the men are still buried and there is no word on if they are alive or have passed. This tragedy has been on my heart since I heard about it on Friday. There are so many questions that I keep asking, along with alot of other people. The government has played a major part in this whole "recovery effort". That's right, their calling it a recovery effort not a rescue. Officials are pretty much ruling out that these men are alive, which I can understand, but there needs to be hope! MHSA (Mine Health and Safety Administration) had to come in and give approval before anything could be done to begin to save these guys lives. They had to build a road to get a
