All I need is Jesus & Football

This time of year Saturdays in the south can only mean one thing... FOOTBALL!
Being from Mississippi you are either a Rebel (Ole Miss) or a Dawg (Missisippi State). If you cheer for a team that isn't from Mississippi you are most likely to get weird looks. Jk
 
I can proudly say that I cheer for the right team, HOTTY TODDY! Lol Saturdays also call for a lot of smack talk where I come from!
 
Last Saturday I took Ryleigh to her 1st Ole Miss football game and let me tell ya, that little girl is hooked for life!
Oxford is about 3 hours from where we live so we left about 8:00 Saturday morning to get there in time. We went with Henley and Reagan, and it was Henley's first time as well.
We got to Oxford around 11:00 and had time to run to Rebel Rags so Ryleigh could get a cheerleader suit, because who goes to Ole Miss without a cheer suit.?
After Rebel Rags we parked and hopped on a bus to take us to the campus. Once we got to Ole Miss we walked through the grove. There is nothing like walking through the grove on game day. Red and Blue is all you see and everyone is tailgating and their tents are decorated so cute! We met up with my brother, his girlfriend, my uncle, and cousins and watched the pep rally.
Ryleigh got to go out with the cheerleaders and cheer. Ya'll I think that made that girl's whole year! She didn't shut up talking about becoming an Ole Miss cheerleader when she gets older.
 


 
The game started at 3:00 and surprisingly we had great seats in the south end zone! We watched the 1st and 2nd quarter but at half time they called a delay of game due to lightning. Since it was lightning and beginning to rain we decided to go back to the grove and let the kids run around and play.



They started the game back and we watched the rest from the grove. Rebels ended up beating Wofford 38-13. We had a great time in Oxford and I cannot wait to go back.!

Ole Miss plays #1 Alabama this weekend and it's going to be a brutal game in the SEC! Ole Miss has beat Bama 2 years in a row and we are looking to make it 3!!! Good luck to our Rebs.

Girl Chat: Guilty Pleasures

Weekending

I enjoyed a really low key weekend with my girls, which is just what I need before they go to their dad's for two weeks :( Friday night we enjoyed chips, cheese dip, and pizza at my mom's house. Bk wanted to spend the night with her, so it was just Ryleigh and me. Ryleigh painted my nails, then we played a few games, and called it an early night. Saturday morning I went grocery shopping. That afternoon we went to Ryleigh's rodeo. my girl with her winnings from the day!   Sunday we went to church, then ate lunch at my mom's.  quick church picture! Sunday afternoon I took the girls to the creek since they will miss Memorial day at the creek, which is a big weekend! We managed to get to the creek and swim for a few minutes before a ton of bad weather blew through! Talk about a cold and wet ride home.   I am hoping for a good week and I hope everyone else has one too! linking up with Biana
