Disney World 2018 {Day 1 & 2}

A few weeks ago Walt and I took my girls and my mom to Disney. It was the girls first trip to Disney so we thought it would be fun to spend Halloween there. We decided to drive, which is about 10 hours from our house, so we left around 8am Sunday morning. (The next time we go to Disney we will fly! The drive wore us out before we even got there)

 We stopped in Gulfport to have lunch at Felix's, which was really good. The rest of the day and night were spent in the car. We didn't check into our Disney hotel until Monday, but we planned on going to a park that day so we spent the night at a hotel about 5 minutes from Disney.

We woke up bright and early Monday to start our first "official" day at Disney!
Before we went to the parks, we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside, and it was a wonderful resort. The staff were very polite and we were able to check in early and just park our car at the resort. From there we took a bus to Hollywood Studios.
The first thing Ryleigh wanted to ride was the Tower of Terror. BK wasn't tall enough to ride so her and my mom sat out while Ryleigh talked me into riding. We didn't even wait 10 minutes in line! Not my favorite ride AT ALL, but Ryleigh would have rode it multiple times if she could.

After the tower of terror, Walt wanted to ride the Rocking Rollercoaster. Again, BK wasn't tall enough so they waited out front for us. The wait was less than 20 minutes which was awesome!

We had fast passes to watch Beauty and the Beast, and the girls loved it. I'm not going to lie I liked it too. Disney can make anyone feel like a kid again. After that we grabbed a few snacks then headed to Toy Story Land.

We didn't have any fast passes but we knew we wanted to ride all of the new rides in Toy Story Land. First up was Toy Story Mania. We waited about an hour to ride this, but the girls loved it!

After that, we rode Alien Swirling Saucers, which was only a 30 minute wait. BK says that is her favorite ride, and she's right it was fun!

When we were finished with that ride it was time to go eat at our very first table service, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano. First of all, make sure you get the Disney Dining Plan if you go to Disney. It was a life saver for us!! I ate the Shrimp Campanelle for my entrée and Tiramisu for dessert and ya'll it was SO good! I recommend this restaurant for sure!!

After lunch the girls met their first Disney characters, Goofy and Doc McStuffins. They were so excited to finally meet someone their little faces lit up with excitement!

We made our way back to Toy Story Land to ride slinky dog dash. We waited well over an hour in line, and took lots and lots of pictures. I love how they make you feel like a toy and all of toys are "larger than life" size. We finally rode slinky dog and it didn't disappoint.

After the ride we made our way to the water to get ready for the Fantasmic show. By this time we were WORE out. We left in the middle of the show and hopped on the bus. Once we got back to the hotel room, Walt and I walked to the food court of our resort and grabbed some food to take back to the room. Check back for the rest of our Disney adventure in the next few days!
