TBB Asks: October

I am so happy that it is finally October, even though we all woke up to heartbreaking news. The horrible events that took place in Las Vegas have literally broken my heart and cast a dark cloud on my Monday. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the shooting❤
 
1. Favorite Fall Sweet Treat? caramel apples
2. Red, Yellow, or Green Apples? red apples for sure
3. Favorite Fall Sport to Play? I don't play sports but I watch college football during the fall
4. Best Drink for Fall? non-alcohol would be hot chocolate, alcoholic drink would be fireball and dr pepper
5. Favorite Fall Activity? watching college football and going to the pumpkin patch
6. Must have Fall Purchase? new pair of fall booties
7. Pumpkins: Pick your own or store bought? I love going to the pumpkin patch and letting the girls pick their own pumpkins.
8. Real or Fake Pumpkin? real for sure!
9. Favorite Halloween Costume? My favorite past halloween costume is Kim Kardasian. I am open to ideas for a couples costume.
10. College Football or NFL? college football all day long! Hotty Toddy!!
11. Fall or Halloween Décor? fall decor with a few Halloween things threw in.
12. Raking Leaves or no Leaves to Rake? My house is surrounded by pine trees so it's more like raking pine straw, which I do not do lol!
13. Favorite Soup? my mom's homemade vegetable soup!
14. Favorite Fall Candle scent? I can't pick just one so here are my favs: marshmallow fireside, pumpkin cupcake, pumpkin waffles, and cider lane.
15. Love or Hate Pumpkin Spice? I love the smell of pumpkin spice but I hate the taste!!!
16. Short Booties or Tall Boots? I'm starting to love short booties more and more!
17. Favorite Halloween Candy? caramel apple suckers or those hard little pumpkins that come in a bag
18. PSL? Pass!
19. Hayride or Corn Maze? Hayride!
20. Favorite Fall TV Show? Not really any shows but I love Hocus Pocus and Casper (kid at heart)

I'm not going to lie I don't shop at Nordstorm as much as I should or could ha! I did get a Nordstrom card last year so I could shop the early access sale, and I shopped again this year. Here are a few of my picks. First up.. Zella leggings I love my zella leggings and I wanted a maternity pair to wear during my pregnancy, so I was able to catch this pair on sale!   sweater I don't wear a lot of turtle necks, because I'm funny about things around my neck. However, I've seen several bloggers talking about this sweater and how soft and light it is. We will see how I like it when it arrives.   sneakers I need a new pair of tennis shoes and I thought these were cute. I hope they fit!   ruffle dress I found this cute dress for Brynlee for fall. Weekending

I enjoyed a really low key weekend with my girls, which is just what I need before they go to their dad's for two weeks :( Friday night we enjoyed chips, cheese dip, and pizza at my mom's house. Bk wanted to spend the night with her, so it was just Ryleigh and me. Ryleigh painted my nails, then we played a few games, and called it an early night. Saturday morning I went grocery shopping. That afternoon we went to Ryleigh's rodeo. my girl with her winnings from the day!   Sunday we went to church, then ate lunch at my mom's.  quick church picture! Sunday afternoon I took the girls to the creek since they will miss Memorial day at the creek, which is a big weekend! We managed to get to the creek and swim for a few minutes before a ton of bad weather blew through! Talk about a cold and wet ride home.   I am hoping for a good week and I hope everyone else has one too! linking up with Biana

I used to only shop in stores so I could try the clothes on before I bought them. I just recently decided to start ordering online, and I feel like I've been missing out on life ha! I ordered this "express yourself" dress from The Mint Julep boutique for my upcoming beach trip, and I received $10 off my order just for signing up for e-mails :) I've been eyeing these wedges on varies boutique pages and I lucked up and found this pair at Target. I was able to get these and a pair of sandals for BK(below) and a free $10 gift card!   2. Sweets Let's face it, I am a sucker for anything sweet!
