Friday Favorites

I feel like I have been completely absent from my blog lately, but life has gotten in the way!
We have some exciting news to announce now that it is public...
We are welcoming another sweet baby into our family in November. We are so excited and ask that you keep us in your prayers over the next few months!

Last weekend we took a weekend trip to the beach for Easter, and even though it was pretty chilly, we had a good time!
We stopped in Mobile for lunch at Felix's Fish Camp. Once we got into Foley we decided to stop by OWA and check out the amusement park. The girls had a blast riding everything, and somehow Ryleigh talked Walt into riding a monster roller coaster!!

The only thing I was interested in...

We rode several rides then it was time to check into our condo. We stayed at Crystal Towers in Gulf Shores and managed to score a room on the 20th floor! Let me tell ya'll about the view, oh my it was gorgeous!!

We unpacked our bags and decided against going to the beach because it was freezing and the wind was blowing so hard! We got baths and headed to eat supper at Tacky Jacks. I had the shrimp and grits, which are my favorite there!

We called it an early night so that we could get up bright and early Saturday to hit the beach!
The view from our bed.. BK was snoozing away!

We rode down to Orange Beach to grab donuts from City Donuts, which are my favorite! Then we hit the beach.

As you can see it was still pretty chilly, but the girls didn't seem to care! They played on the beach for a while, then we went to the hot tub and indoor pool. The girls swam for a while, then it was time for lunch at the hang out!

I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the blackened shrimp tacos and they were so good!
After lunch we took the girls to the Yard to finally try a famous "yard milkshake"

The girls ordered the mermaid milkshake to share, which had birthday cake and marshmallow fluff plus a lot of other goodies inside!

Walt and I split the sea salt cheesecake milkshake and boy was it good!

We spent the rest of the day playing on the beach and in the pool.

We went up to the room and got ready for supper and headed out to Pensacola. We decided to eat at the Crab Trap because there is a kids play area. I ordered a shrimp and crab pasta and it was amazing!!

We had to leave Sunday morning and it was such a beautiful day the girls didn't want to leave!!

We enjoyed our weekend get away to the beach and cannot wait to go back!
